Only the psychologist, played by Nagatsuka Kyozo, was of any interest to me. Almost none of the characters were fully rounded, not even Koyuki's Iwaya Sumire, and they more of the cookie-cutter sorts than unique ones we would remember long after finishing the series.

A good drama draws in its audience and makes them feel for the characters and put themselves in their shoes this drama doesn't do that. The characters are not fully developed, making for some very stereotypical characters and ones you don't care about.I would rate this as the most uninteresting drama of all of Matsujun's dramas It is far, far too draggy, and you get rather tired of the entire story by the middle of the series. It's got Jun in it, and he does have some pretty cute scenes.Koyuki is a good actress as always (many teary scenes).Watch this show with a open mind, it's worth it. Neither wants to think about the future and how their relationship will change, but as Momo (the name she gives him as one would name their new puppy) states – we both knew this wasn't going to be able to last.

Plus Matsumoto plays Momo with such tenderness you almost start to wish you had one too. In my opinion, it's worth watching this story just to see this character develop. Matsumoto takes us from seeing a character who is very one dimensional in the beginning, to two dimensional when we see he's a dancer, to a three dimensional character when we see him start to fall for his master as a man, not as a dog. Her thinking slowly changes as we start to get a glance at his own thoughts. It's when she realizes that her pet isn't just a pet that the sexual tension between the two starts to become thick - Momo is a dance prodigy. She spends time with the new boyfriend, Momo gets jealous. As he is treated like a pet, he reacts to situations how a dog might react. The difference he can retaliate in the same way, after all Momo is a man, not a dog. This pet is like any other creature we would consider a pet. So instead she substitutes a human, played by an adorable Matsumoto Jun, as a pet. No one really wants to lay their soul out in front of a perspective mate. Sumire Iwaya, played thoughtfully by Koyuki, shows us human nature as she wants to keep troubles from being shown. This story stays on the tender side as the main characters move us through the scenes. I wasn't disappointed in what I saw I was moved.

I don't give a movie or a show ten very often but this show touched a nerve in a way no other show has. Just watch it, you'll love it and will, just like me, watch it over and over and over again!! He's so cute, funny and sweet but there's something more. I'm crazy about Matsumoto Jun and what a great job he did with the 'Momo' character. You can really feel the emotions that lies beneath it all. This drama is truly brilliant.I loved every minute of it! It's funny, sad and sympathetic. 'Momo' meanwhile develops all the more intimate feelings for Sumire but she constantly push him away. At the same time she struggles to open up and be herself with her dream man, Hasumi, and not to loose him to her mean co-worker (Fukushima). When Sumire takes in Goda Takeshi, whom she calls 'Momo' after the dog she owned as a child, she opens up to him and they form a very close relationship but only as a pet and owner. This is GREATLY done by actress Koyuki! She's such a lonely soul. Sumire is portrayed as very sophisticated and refined woman with no luck in men because she can't show her feelings. A very successful and lonely woman, Sumire Iwaya, takes in a 20 year old modern dancer, Goda Takeshi, to live with her as her 'pet'.
